Do you make resolutions for yourself for the New Year? Many people say they want to lose 5 lbs, eat better or get into shape. Have you ever thought to include your dog in these resolutions? If you want to lose 5 lbs, why not start taking your dog for a walk with you? Want to eat healthier so you will feel better? I bet your dog would be pretty thankful if you also considered him in this resolution. Make your resolutions obtainable. Don’t set unrealistic goals, you will only dissappoint yourself and feel guilty- be nice to yourself and your dog! Happy 2012 everyone!!

Have you been considering bringing some joy to your life by adding a dog to your family? Trust me when I say that adopting a dog is an amazing feeling! Not only are you giving a little creature a second chance, that dog will be eternally grateful for your kindness! We recently adopted a rescue puppy. We were just going to foster her…. she was just so happy to have a bed to sleep in and get some cuddles!!! She is full of love and completely devoted! I encourage anyone who is toying with getting a new dog, check out your local shelters and rescue groups before heading to breaders or stores. Rescued and adopted pets are just waiting for someone to love them a fraction of the amount they will love you. If you need more reasons, check out this article from Dogster

Did you know that Prebiotics and Probiotics can not survive the heat process of extrusion (how kibble is made) or by adding after extrusion with oils…. so if you are buying a kibble that says “Now with Probiotics” you aren’t getting any more bang for your buck! There is many ways to tweak a product label to make the product sound better than it is! No tweaking or false claims about our labels!! Be sure to do research on the products you are buying!! There isn’t a kibble out there that can deliver live probiotics yet.
